This article describes upcoming features that will be part of the next version of TX Text Control.
One of the most requested features of the HTML5 based rich text editor is a client-side clipboard to copy and paste formatted text from other applications directly into the editor in the browser.
In the current version, only an internal, server-side clipboard is available that allows copy and paste actions of content that is already in the document:
The next version comes with client-side clipboard support that allows you to copy and paste content from other applications such as MS Word to the editor. In the following animated screenshot, you can see this new feature in action. Formatted content including tables and images is copied from MS Word into Web.TextControl:
This works completely without any plugins or special permission requirements. Web.TextControl is pure HTML5, Javascript and CSS. Sounds interesting? Stay tuned for more stunning new features!
