TX Text Control Celebrates 20th Anniversary Next Year
TX Text Control approaches its 20th anniversary in 2011, having evolved from a single 16-bit DLL released in 1991 into a family of Windows Forms, WPF, and server components. A longtime customer who started with version 5.20 in 1996 sent in a photo of the original boxed software.

Next year, we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of TX Text Control. Released in 1991 and starting life as a single DLL, TX Text Control has made its way through 16-bit DLL, VBX and ActiveX versions to today's Windows Forms, WPF and server components.
Our users benefit from these 20 years of experience, large user-base and at the same time, appreciate developing with a mature and reliable product. Our goal is a constant extension of our innovation leadership. As an example, we just released the first available WPF rich text editor with a true WYSIWYG text rendering.
Consider the following timeline that shows some TX Text Control releases:

I was reminded of this anniversary when I received the following photo from a longtime customer. It shows an old boxed version of TX Text Control 5.20 in a very fancy office. This customer just received version 16.0 and has been using TX Text Control since 1996.
