Press Release: Roadmap for TX Text Control 15.0 Released
The TX Text Control 15.0 roadmap details new capabilities including PDF/A export, browser-based form completion without plugins, page columns, structured numbered lists, and XHTML support. The Q2 2009 release will be backwards compatible, with free upgrades for active subscribers.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Charlotte, NC, United States (December 3, 2008) - The software component vendor The Imaging Source recently published its roadmap for the upcoming version of the word processing component family TX Text Control.
One of the new features of the components for Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 is an extension of the existing Adobe PDF export. In version 15.0, TX Text Control is able to create and save ISO conforming PDF/A documents. In recent years, PDF/A has been getting stronger in the electronic archiving market. Using TX Text Control 15.0, PDF/A documents can be automatically created or converted from other supported formats.
With the new roadmap, the software company announces a new concept for web-based document viewing and forms processing in ASP.NET. Using TX Text Control 15.0, MS Word compatible forms can be displayed and completed in any browser. The completed form can be processed server-side, printed or saved as Adobe PDF document.
The development team also improved the core functionality of TX Text Control. Page columns and structured numbered lists are planned for the next version of the successful word processing component. All documents can be imported and exported to and from Office Open XML (DOCX), MS Word (DOC) and Rich Text Format (RTF). Additionally, XHTML is going to be supported in version 15.
The final version is announced for the second quarter of 2009. Interested users can start development with the current version of TX Text Control, because TX Text Control 15.0 will be backwards compatible. For owners of a 1 Year Subscription, TX Text Control 15.0 will be available free of charge when it is released. More information at:
