Functionality

• Does TX Text Control for Angular have the same functionality as the .NET-based products?

  Yes. TX Text Control for Angular is based on the same code and provides the same feature-set as the MVC or Web Forms version.

• Is there a client-side API to access functionality of the document editor?

  Yes. All Angular components have a fully-featured JavaScript API to access the complete functionality. That includes document manipulation and loading and saving processes.

Backend

• Can I use the Angular component without any backend?

  TX Text Control requires a backend to synchronize the document. This enables the unique WYSIWYG rendering of TX Text Control. This concept allows you to provide your users a document editor that renders a document equally across platforms, devices and browsers. Server-side fonts are used and don't have to be locally available client-side. The document rendered in the editor is a true representation of the document and looks 100% pixel-perfect like a created PDF or a printed version of the document.

Deployment

• Can I deploy my application to Linux?

  Yes. By design, TX Text Control for Angular separates the backend and frontend components. Your Angular application, that uses the document editor or viewer can be hosted on Linux machines or containers. The components can be connected with the backend hosted on a Windows server or Docker Container.

Licensing

• Which product do I need to purchase to use TX Text Control for Angular?

  TX Text Control for Angular is a JavaScript package that requires the product TX Text Control .NET Server for ASP.NET to provide the required backend.

• Is TX Text Control licensed per developer?
