We are happy to announce the release of DS Server 4.0, our latest major update that makes your document processing workflows more flexible and powerful. This release is a significant milestone, offering full Linux support and cross-platform deployment capabilities combined with all the latest TX Text Control 33.0 enhancements.
What is DS Server?
For those who are new to DS Server, here's a quick refresher:
DS Server is a low-code, out-of-the-box backend that allows developers to incorporate robust document processing capabilities into any web application without having to implement or manage the document backend infrastructure. It's the easiest way to add capabilities such as document generation, PDF creation, form processing, and electronic signatures to your application.
DS Server provides everything you need on the backend, whether you're building custom applications, integrating with CRM systems, or delivering browser-based document editors. It's secure, scalable, and production-ready.
What's New in DS Server 4.0?
DS Server now fully supports Linux with version 4.0. This means you can deploy DS Server on:
- Linux VMs
- Bare-metal Linux servers
- Docker containers running Linux
- Linux-based PaaS environments like Azure App Service for Linux or AWS Elastic Beanstalk
Windows support remains unchanged, of course, giving you the freedom to choose the best environment for your infrastructure or deployment strategy.
Thanks to its cross-platform compatibility, DS Server is the most versatile release yet. It is ideal for modern DevOps workflows, containerized environments, and scalable, cloud-native applications.
With DS Server 4.0, we have eliminated barriers for teams working in Linux environments while providing the latest innovations in document processing without the added complexity of a backend.
- No implementation effort - simply install and connect
- No backend coding required - RESTful APIs and ready-to-use endpoints
- No deployment restrictions - works in containers, VMs, PaaS, or on-premises
