Legacy Microsoft Word DOC format support and conversion
Microsoft Word (DOC) is a binary word processing format developed by Microsoft and the predecessor of DOCX, which is widely recognized as a de facto standard due to the popularity of the Microsoft Word application.
TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms Classic (Windows only) can load and save files in the DOC format. All available features of TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms are supported, including tables, images, headers and footers, and bullets and numbered lists.
Please note: DOC format support is not available in the Core edition of TX Text Control. The Core version supports modern formats such as DOCX and PDF, but does not include support for legacy binary formats like DOC.
Furthermore, any file format that can be loaded into TX Text Control .NET for Windows Forms Classic can be saved as DOC. This makes it easy to build applications that convert documents between formats.
