Character and Paragraph Formatting

TX Text Control ActiveX offers all the formatting control over character and paragraph presentation that you would expect from a fully-fledged document processing package.

Character Formatting

Applications created with TX Text Control ActiveX provide rich character formatting options. These options include:

• font size and font family
• character styles
• foreground and background colors

All formatting options can be combined, making the possible formatting options almost infinite.

Paragraph Formatting

In addition to character formatting, TX Text Control ActiveX offers a variety of paragraph formatting options, including:

• indentation settings
• various tab styles
• variable line and paragraph spacing
• paragraph frames

The following paragraph styles are available:

Keep with next: By selecting this option, an end user can force TX Text Control ActiveX to place the current paragraph and the preceding one on the same page.

Keep lines together: If the end user selects this attribute, TX Text Control ActiveX places all lines of the current paragraph on the same page. TX Text Control ActiveX does not break this paragraph but keeps it intact.

Page break before: If the end user selects this attribute, TX Text Control ActiveX places the current paragraph at the top of a new page.

Widow and orphan control: Developers and end users can set the widow and orphan control options. The number of lines that constitute a widow or orphan can be specified.

TX Text Control ActiveX offers developers and end users access to all formatting options directly from the shipped dialog box.
