DS Server Licensing FAQ
- Is DS Server licensed per server or per developer?
DS Server is licensed on a per-server installation basis. An unlimited number of developers can work with the provided Web API end-points and client-side packages that are connected to the DS Server backend.
- Is the number of applications that use DS Server limited?
No. An unlimited number of applications can access the document services and you can create unlimited OAuth security profiles (if enabled).
- Is the number of end-users that use DS Server limited?
No. An unlimited number of end-users can access the document services utilized within your application.
- Are DS Server licenses perpetual?
No. DS Server is licensed for a period of one (1) year, and must be renewed on a yearly basis in order to continue functioning in your application.
- What is a subscription?
TX Text Control subscriptions entitle developers to get immediate access to product updates and service packs - the moment they are released - for the period of one year. Furthermore, subscribers can place an unlimited number of support incidents via telephone, email or live chat. More about the subscriptions can be found here.
- How are subscriptions renewed?
A pre-renewal subscription renews your TX Text Control subscription for one year before your expiry date. When your subscription has expired, you can renew your DS Server subscription for the post-renewal price. A post-renewal subscription renews your DS Server subscription for one year, if your subscription has already expired. This offer is only valid for thirty days after expiration. After thirty days, it is not possible to renew your DS Server subscription.
- Is technical support included?
Yes, technical support is included in all subscription licenses, including direct access to technical support engineers (telephone, e-mail and chat).
- Where can I find the license agreement?
The license agreement is a click-through license agreement that is accepted by installing the setup of DS Server. A PDF version can be downloaded here:
