Creating the Project

Assuming that you have already run the TX Text Control installation program, start Visual Studio .NET and create a new project. Select either Visual Basic or Visual C# as the project type and WPF Browser Application as the template.

Continue with the next step, if the TX Text Control items are in your toolbox. Otherwise, add the items to your toolbox manually as described below.

Select Tools / Choose Toolbox Items... to open the Choose Toolbox Items dialog box. Open the WPF Components tab page, sort the list by Namespace by clicking on the appropriate table header and find the TXTextControl.WPF components. If they are not listed, click on Browse... and navigate to the directory where TX Text Control has been installed (C:\Program Files\The Imaging Source Europe GmbH\TX Text Control 16.0.NET\Asm\ if you didn't change the default setup path) and double click on the file TXTextControl.WPF.dll.

Back in the Choose Toolbox Items dialog, scroll down to verify that the TextControl component has been added. If you sort the list by namespace, you will see the other 3 components, ButtonBar, StatusBar and RulerBar. Select these components by checking the appropriate checkbox.

After closing the dialog box, you will see four additional icons appear at the bottom of the toolbox, representing the Text Control and its Status Bar, Button Bar and Ruler Bar.
