Installing IIS on Windows 8 and Windows 10

If you are running Windows 8 or Windows 10 on your computer, you can install the included web server, Internet Information Server (IIS) from the Windows Turn Windows features on or off functionality.

1. Open the Control Panel and choose Turn Windows features on or off found in Programs.

2. Check Internet Information Services leaving all the default installation settings intact. Make sure that the WebSocket Protocol is activated in the World Wide Web Services/Application Development Features node. This step is shown in the screenshot below.

3. Click OK to confirm the changes.
