The MS Word compatible flow type layout reporting platform for .NET helps to create any report type with easy-to-use, MS Word inspired designers and a powerful .NET API.

We just published the class AssemblySerializer that creates XML XSD files from a given assembly. All public classes and the public members are exported with the proper name and return type. This way, you can create templates with the merge fields and blocks from your own business objects encapsulated in an assembly.

This sample shows how to open local documents with the HTML Input element and how to pass this document as a Base64 encoded string to the loadDocument method to load local documents with pure Javascript.

Merge fields are pre-formatted in a template and populated with database content during the merge process. Usually, a merge field accepts plain text from a database column field or an XML element value that is formatted with the applied template format. In some applications, it could be helpful to add a carriage return line feed character to merge fields. This sample shows how to use the FieldMerged event to handle this situation.
