At last: Easy spell checking for your TX app
Often have we heard from our TX Text Control customers, "TX offers great text processing features, but no word processor is complete without a fully integrated spell checker." Many of you have tried spell checker OCXs from a number software houses, but none of them have really worked in complete harmony with TX Text Control.
This is no longer the case.
The Imaging Source Europe -- the creators of TX Text Control -- have teamed up with the renowned software house VideoSoft to bring you a special version of their successful VSSPELL that you can drop directly into your TX based applications.
VSSPELL is dead easy to install and use - you need very little code to add spell checking and thesaurus lookups. (Click the link below to see how few lines you actually need!) Built-in dialog boxes that look as good as those in word-processing programs display misspelled words and suggested spellings or synonyms for the thesaurus. You can spell check individual works, sentences, or paragraphs, and you can ignore, ignore all, and change all occurrences of a word. In addition, you can create and use custom dictionaries along with the main dictionary. And unlike many other spell checking components, VSPELL preserves the formatting of the original document.
Short 'n Sweet Tip: Debugging
When you are debugging code in Visual Basic (in any environment), you will see a little yellow arrow on the left hand side showing the line of code that has the current focus. Well you can actually grab that yellow arrow with your mouse and move it to another line. This tricky tip will allow you to go back to a previous line and run it again.
