Traditionally, applications are installed on every computer in a network. Whenever a new computer is added or after a hard disk has crashed, a system administrator has to go to that machine and re-install all the applications.
By deploying applications in Internet Explorer, a system administrator simply needs to copy one CAB file and accompanying HTML file onto a web server.
Whenever a client wishes to use that application, it requests the HTML file that in turn downloads the ActiveX-based application and executes it in the client's browser.
Just as a PDF viewer is loaded when a PDF document is clicked upon, so can also a fully featured word processing application.
When deployed in Internet Explorer, TX Text Control ActiveX offers end-users all the comfort of a comprehensive word processing package without the hassle or maintenance of a client install.

Learn more about TX Text Control ActiveX

Using TX Text Control ActiveX Server, it is possible to generate HTML documents that can be edited in an ASP.NET WebForms environment. Microsoft Word, RTF and TXT documents can be loaded into a browser-based editor without any plug-ins - all that is required are HTML and Javascript.
The communication between the client editor and TX Text Control ActiveX Server is based on HTML. Therefore, the formatting of the text in the client editor is restricted to the formatting supported by HTML.
All this can be achieved without having Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat installed on the server. Only TX Text Control ActiveX Server is required to convert or create all supported document formats.
