Recently, the patent underlying the Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) expired in the US, Europe, Canada and Japan. The patent prevented us from shipping the GIF filter with TX Text Control.
A typical application for the new GIF import filter is the loading of HTML documents from the Internet. The majority of non-photographic images that can be found on the Internet are saved in the GIF file format.
Without the GIF import filter, just the frame of an image is displayed when it is imported into TX Text Control. This is illustrated in the left-hand screenshot below. When the GIF import filter is installed, GIF images are imported just like all of the other image file formats that TX Text Control supports. This is illustrated in the right-hand screenshot below.
Add new GIF import functionality to your TX Text Control .NET and TX Text Control ActiveX applications. Download the filter from:

Please note that these service packs can only be installed on the exact version of TX Text Control that is installed on your PC. For example, SP3 for TX Text Control ActiveX 10.1 can only be installed, if you have TX Text Control ActiveX 10.1 installed.
