Two Types of Drag and Drop

Most word processors support two different types of Drag and Drop:

• Text Drag and Drop, which lets you select a piece of text and move it to a different location within the text.
• File Drag and Drop, for opening a file by dragging its file name from Windows Explorer to the word processor's window.

Text Drag and Drop is automatically supported by Text Control if the TextControl.AllowDrag and TextControl.AllowDrop properties have been set to true.

File Drag and Drop is fully supported, too, and can be fine-tuned to the requirements of your application in various ways, as described in the following chapter.
