TX Text Control .NET 64-bit in development

Blogged by Björn Meyer on February 22, 2007 and tagged with 64bit, .net.

We are currently working on 64-bit versions of TX Text Control .NET and TX Text Control .NET Server.

These new versions will allow developers to build their applications for the latest 64-bit processors and Windows versions, including:

  • Windows XP Professional x64
  • Windows Server 2003 x64
  • Windows Vista x64

The releases are scheduled for the forth quarter of this year.

Customers who own a valid Subscription license of TX Text Control will be able to download the 64-bit version free of charge.

Should you have any questions, concerning these new versions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Any chance of getting an early test build (to help beta-test)? I am unable to build my application when using the text control now. Even a stub-code DLL would be helpful for now!

Will current versions of TX Text Control .NET run on 64-bit systems, or is this new version just for native support?

We must decide whether we use your components in our software furthermore. Please inform me, when you plan the development of 64 bit support for Vista to complete?
