New Tribes Mission deploys TX Text Control for language acquisition

In April 2003, The Imaging Source Europe GmbH donated 4 licenses for TX Text Control ActiveX Professional and TX Text Control .NET Professional to New Tribes Mission, which they have used to produce CLAware.

Culture and Language Acquisition Tool

CLAware is designed to aid community development workers in the process of culture and language acquisition, particularly among people groups that have no written language.

With the help of CLAware, workers can learn to communicate in the local language, create an alphabet for that language, teach the people to read and write their own language, and translate the Bible into that language.

CLAware has received an enthusiastic response from workers in Papua New Guinea, and those in other countries are also now planning to use CLAware.This success is due in large measure to the excellence of TX Text Control.

Thank you again for contributing such a reliable, feature-rich tool.

Several features that we would like to add to CLAware are now available in TX Text Control 11.0 Enterprise. For example, the new ruler bar and multi-level undo/redo will be a big help. The updated stylesheet formatting will facilitate the creation of lessons for literacy, language drills, etc.Additionally, CLAware is an MDI application, so it will benefit from the MDI improvements in version 11.

Robust & Feature-rich

All in all, New Tribes Mission was very pleased to find TX Text Control to be a robust, feature-rich embeddable word processor. Features such as stylesheet formatting, full Unicode support, hyperlinking, searchable tables embedded in documents, several standard export formats, and many exposed properties and events - combined with excellent customer support - made TX Text Control the natural choice for CLAware.
