Primal Pictures is a leading company in the fields of 3D computer graphics and medical multimedia production. It has produced a number of award-winning medical CD-Roms based on computer models of the human body.
The Interactive Skeleton is a unique product, encompassing the world's first complete 3D digital skeleton rebuilt from CT scan data. As well as winning the prestigious European International Association for Media in Science Prize, it won the British Medical Association award for Best Electronic Product in 1996. We repeated this achievement in 1999 when the Interactive Knee – Radiology Edition won the same prize.

A number of sophisticated medical titles, using 3D imagery of soft tissue as well as bones, are now on sale. These include the Interactive Hand, Interactive Knee, and Interactive Foot and Ankle. All of these titles use the TX Text Control to display the text in the program.

The control's ability to hyperlink allows us to link dissection pictures, movies, and other articles with the aid of red hotspots in the text. Apart from the stunning graphics, this linking has been one of the features that users have praised most. The ability to handle foreign character sets is also important, as seen in the Spanish language and the soon-to-be-released German versions of the Interactive Skeleton.
It's also important that the control can be modified visually to make it slot into any interface, making the whole interface work as a single entity. Nothing looks worse than having an ugly Windows scrollbar sticking out like a sore thumb.
